GIANT Announces Record Total During Golf Outing

GIANT/MARTIN’S recent balloon campaign raised a record-breaking $758,610 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. That’s a $100,000 increase over last year. These funds benefit several CMN hospitals and includes $195,266 for Penn State Children’s Hospital. The announcement was made at GIANT/MARTIN’S signature CMN Celebrity Putting Contest on July 14 that paired Miracle Children with local media personalities. It was part of a three-day golf outing.

On July 15, GIANT/MARTIN’S hosted a dinner at the Hershey Lodge for its top golf partners. The event featured several Miracle Kids including Vinnie, Scarlett and Nick from Penn State Children’s Hospital. Each child was depicted as a superhero. On July 16, 1,800 golfers played on area golf courses.

GIANT/MARTIN’S is one of the top 10 fundraisers in the country for CMN Hospitals and the top corporate partner for Children’s Miracle Network Hershey, having donated more than $700,000 in the last year. Thank you GIANT Food Stores associates and customers for giving kids the #GiftofGrowingUp!
